Wellspring Lutheran Services to change the face of human care services in Michigan as two nonprofits come together
Both organizations have been serving Michigan residents for more than 120 years. Beginning today, the new nonprofit organization will serve thousands of children, families and seniors each year. With a combined budget of $65 million, the two nonprofits employ over 1,400 people and have locations in more than 30 cities across the state.
Historically, human care services have been disconnected from each other, with separate organizations serving children, families and seniors. Through engaging people at every stage of life, Wellspring Lutheran Services will take an intergenerational approach to helping people discover and embrace their own potential, regardless of age or circumstance.
Through its mission, "Motivated by Christ's love, we engage people as they experience and embrace their God-given potential," Wellspring Lutheran Services will come alongside people with the services and tools they need to help them envision a brighter future.
Wellspring Lutheran Services will serve Michigan children, families and seniors with these services:
- Adoption Resources
- Affordable Housing
- Family Preservation
- Foster Care
- Home Care
- Hospice & Grief Support
- Independent & Assisted Living
- Memory Care
- Parenting Support
- Residential Care
- Short-term Rehabilitation
- Skilled Nursing Care
- Supportive Housing
Wellspring Lutheran Services delivers practical and "life giving" solutions in abundance. Just as a wellspring bubbles up from deep within the earth, bringing life-giving water, Wellspring Lutheran Services will bring life-giving solutions to nourish, grow and sustain individuals, families and communities. Wellspring cares for people by engaging them at any stage of life, so no matter what obstacles or challenges they may be facing, they can find hope.
