“I transitioned to a Patient Experience Liaison in 2016, but what I have always valued the most during my entire time with Wellspring are the relationships I build and maintain with residents and families.”

Hope flows through us.

For over a hundred years, hope has been drawn from a proven, Christ-centered source, a source dedicated to changing lives, strengthening families and transforming communities.

We are Wellspring Lutheran Services. Our mission springs from this deep source – as old as the scriptures – equipping us to bring life-giving solutions today to those who thirst for hope. You can be confident that as we work together you will see positive outcomes.

So, please take a moment to learn how we can engage with you to fill a need in your life or in the lives of people you care about.

Megan and Matt Deaton became foster parents in July 2016. They have two biological children, Liam, 6, and Georgia, 3. After spending 538 days in foster care, the Deaton family welcomed Dash, 1, into his forever home when they adopted him earlier this June. Since becoming foster parents nearly two years ago, they have cared for eight children who were placed in their home. They have also provided respite care for other foster families when needed. With knowledge and background in social work, the Deatons are great advocates for children and families. Megan shares, “I still struggle every time I hear someone say, 'DJ is so lucky to have you.' Honestly, this isn’t the life I would’ve chosen for him. In the life anyone chooses for their child, their child feels included at all times, their identity is not an issue and their sense of belonging is not a question. I know that those will all be a challenge for Dash moving forward. However, I would like to promise everyone here today that I will work hard each and every moment of every day to ensure that someone is there to advocate for him, support him, encourage him, celebrate his identity, praise his past and make sure he prioritizes family, laughter and love.” We are blessed to have Megan and Matt as Wellspring Foster Parents and are encouraged by their willingness to support the needs of children in their care and their foster parent peers.
