Sen. @jeremyallenmoss has a long history of advocating for people in need of a voice, dating back to his days as a student at Michigan State University. He's now serving his first term as a senator for District 11 in Oakland County. Yet, he's no newcomer to politics. In 2011, Moss successfully ran for a seat on the Southfield City Council and became the youngest-ever elected official in the city’s history at age 25. In 2014, he was elected to the Michigan House of Representatives and served as the democratic whip. Today he visited our campus in Farmington Hills to learn more about the important work Wellspring is doing on behalf of Michigan's children and families. Thanks, Senator Moss, for your work in advocating for those without a voice. It was our privilege to host your visit today.

We are so thankful for each and every person who filled the room at our Faces of Hope Benefit Dinner at Schoolcraft College's VisTaTech Center in Livonia last night. The evening was filled with stories of the important work Wellspring is doing on behalf of children, families and seniors -- and the people who make it possible. Our Faces of Hope award went to the @jamiedanielsfoundation. This foundation provides education, resources, guidance and support to people battling drug addiction — so that lives can be saved and healing can be created within families. @detroitredwings Announcer Ken Daniels and his family established the foundation in honor of his late son, Jamie, who died from an overdose at the age of 23 while receiving treatment for addiction. Ken Daniels and Lisa Daniels-Goldman, Jamie’s parents and founders of the foundation, accepted the award last night. A very special thank you also goes out to all of our sponsors who made last night possible.
