“I transitioned to a Patient Experience Liaison in 2016, but what I have always valued the most during my entire time with Wellspring are the relationships I build and maintain with residents and families.”

Hope flows through us.

For over a hundred years, hope has been drawn from a proven, Christ-centered source, a source dedicated to changing lives, strengthening families and transforming communities.

We are Wellspring Lutheran Services. Our mission springs from this deep source – as old as the scriptures – equipping us to bring life-giving solutions today to those who thirst for hope. You can be confident that as we work together you will see positive outcomes.

So, please take a moment to learn how we can engage with you to fill a need in your life or in the lives of people you care about.

Each year the Michigan Federation for Children and Families names an Ambassador of the Year at its Senior Leadership Conference. Tonight, in a room filled with peers and colleagues from around the state, Wellspring President and CEO Dave Gehm received this prestigious honor for his work in advocating for people in need across Michigan. For more than 25 years, Dave has used his role at Wellspring as a platform to help change the face of human care. Through his commitment to advocacy and his work through Wellspring, he has been instrumental in continuing a dialogue for the need to enhance and expand family preservation services, driving the commitment to make strong families a legislative priority. The Wellspring family joins together with the Michigan Federation in celebrating Dave's recognition tonight for the work he does every day in advocating for the rights of children, families and seniors. And we're even more excited to see how his efforts will continue to bring a voice to people in need across Michigan. The Michigan Federation for Children and Families has been working with private and nonprofit agencies on behalf of children and families for nearly 50 years.

A big THANK YOU to Michigan Podiatric Medical Association (MPMA) for donating over 150 pairs of athletic shoes to our children served at Wellspring! The association brought all of the shoes to our New Directions Campus in Farmington Hills just before school started this week. All of the shoes were distributed to foster children at our locations across the state where the shoes are needed including Oak Park, Detroit, East Lansing, Kentwood, Bay City and Gaylord. This is the sixth year that the MPMA has helped our children with new shoes for school. ** Pictured above: Rachel Musick, Family First Worker at Wellspring Lutheran Services, with Dr. Jodie Sengstock, Michigan Podiatric Medical Association Director of Professional Relations, and Marie Tolen, Campus Director-New Directions at Wellspring Lutheran Services, sort shoes by sizes to prepare for distribution to children in foster care.
