    125 Years

Stories

Not many organizations weather the test of time and can endure 125 years. Wellspring Lutheran Services is one of the exceptions, though. And it's because we've never taken our eyes off having Christ at our core. Take a look at some of the stories of the people we serve and the people who serve with us. Feel free to share your story, too

Being a nurse and working with/helping others is important to me. In this role, I am able to help others by making sure their care is properly coordinated, as well as coach my team to success of achieving the goals of the department. I believe in Wellspring’s mission and I feel blessed to be able to serve our residents (and families) with a person-centered approach through God’s work. Wellspring gives hope to many people, and I am proud to be part of that. I started with Wellspring in November 2013 as a part-time floor nurse in Frankenmuth’s long-term care facility. From there, I transferred to the Senior Living Campus in Saginaw. I served as the AFC manager for memory support. A few months ago, I was promoted to the campus’ director of resident care.

  • Serving our residents in the best manner possible...

After years of working in hospital settings, I began my journey with Wellspring. I had never worked exclusively in a geriatric setting, so I’m grateful Wellspring took a chance and hired me. Wellspring has always been by my side to support me, and provide the tools and training I have needed to serve our residents in the best manner possible.

  • Lasting relationships that have changed my life...

As a nurse at Wellspring, I’ve grown and learned so much. I have made so many lasting relationships that have changed my life and brought great joy in my career.

    Wellspring Wellness Nurse

  • It's a blessing to serve our residents...

I’m so blessed to be able to serve our residents as a hospitality driver. It’s a role I take seriously too, especially knowing my own grandparents resided at Wellspring. I hope all of our residents feel loved, supported and cared for when they decide to call Wellspring home.
    Robin Abbott
    Wellspring Hospitality Driver

  • Changed lives, strong families, and transformed communities...

I’m responsible for ensuring that our financial results are produced with accuracy and in a timely manner. When I was looking for a new opportunity to enhance my career, I wanted to work for an organization that made a difference in the lives of people. It took me some time to actually apply to the position because I wanted to know more about Wellspring. When I learned that Wellspring was all about changed lives, strong families, and transformed communities, I knew I had found exactly what I was seeking. I have been with Wellspring since March 2017. In May, I was offered a promotion. I’m still overseeing financial reporting but now I also oversee accounting operations which includes accounts receivable, payables, and payroll. I’m very grateful for the opportunities that I have received in such a short time. It’s a blessing to work for an organization that supports you and your professional goals.
