Leslie Trentham, LLMSW

Leslie Trentham, LLMSW, is a limited licensed social worker who earned her Bachelor of Social Work from Grand Valley State University in 2014 and her Master of Social Work from Western Michigan University in 2018 with a clinical social work concentration, specializing in trauma across the lifespan.

Following the completion of her BSW, Leslie began an 8- year journey of working in child welfare at a private foster care agency in Grand Rapids. During this time, Leslie held various positions, including foster care specialist, adoption specialist, foster care supervisor and enhanced foster care supervisor. Leslie’s clinician work began during her time as an enhanced foster care supervisor, providing supervision to clinical case managers and behavior specialists who served children in foster care with high mental and behavioral health needs. Leslie has been practicing individual therapy since 2021.

Leslie feels most passionate about working with individuals who have experienced trauma and other difficult circumstances. She strives to create a warm, welcoming environment for individuals to feel safe and empowered so they can heal and change. Leslie recognizes that each individual is the expert in their own life and experiences. She enjoys partnering with her clients to problem solve and set goals that feel manageable and realistic for each person, while providing encouragement and validation during their healing journey.
