Whitney Frakes, LLMSW, is a limited license clinical social worker with Wellspring. Whitney holds a bachelor's degree in community health education and international studies from Northern Michigan University and a master's degree in social work from Michigan State University.
Whitney began her social work career in 2018 in family preservation where she continues to provide crisis services as a direct-line worker, and supervisor to parents and children navigating the child welfare system. She has experience working with a variety of issues, including: domestic violence and unhealthy relationships, substance use, depression, anxiety and adjustment to life changes.
Whitney believes no one is hopeless. She loves empowering clients to achieve their goals in a realistic and sustainable way. She recognizes the courage it takes to seek support and is dedicated to building a trusting relationship with clients through honesty, patience and respect. Whitney accepts clients as they are and is ready to support them wherever they are in their healing process.
